Date: 25 May 2023

Time: 16:00 - 18:00

When it comes to preparing for and passing the new Solicitors Qualifying Exams (SQE), there is still a great deal of uncertainty amongst aspiring legal professionals, many of whom are unsure of what to expect and how best to prepare.

Join us on the afternoon of Thursday 25 May for a virtual student event, run in partnership with The College of Legal Practice. We’ll be joined by SQE experts from the College, including CEO Dr. Giles Proctor and Kathryn Newton, academics with insights of designing and delivering SQE preparation, as well as students of the College who have recently passed the exams, to discuss their expertise and first-hand experience.

The speakers

• Jane Waddell, Head of Curriculum Design & Development
• Kathryn Newton, Programme Leader at The College of Legal Practice
• Ruth Ekong, passed the SQE 2 with The College of Legal Practice and is a practicing solicitor
• Erin Tschiderer, passed the SQE 1 in January and is now working towards the SQE 2

After a panel discussion from 4pm to 5pm, there will be virtual networking with the speakers and other employability experts from The College of Legal Practice team for follow-up questions and further careers advice.

Apply to attend now. You’ll be asked to submit two questions for the speakers.
