If you are self-funding your studies:

  • Non-refundable deposit required at the point of accepting your offer (amount deducted from course fees) (subject to 14-day cooling off period)
  • 1st instalment (or full course fee) due no later than 14 days before the course start date
  • 2nd instalment due half-way through the course for SLK/SLS/GFL; for LLM programmes, the remaining instalments are due at even points throughout the course

If you are enrolling late for any reason, after the course closing date (less than 14 days before the course starts), your deposit and first instalment are required at the point of accepting your offer.

If your employer/sponsor is funding your studies:

  • As part of your application form, you will be asked to specify whether you are employer-funded. If you are, you should share your employer details with The College. The College will then invoice your employer directly, rather than you
  • If you have a corporate code from your employer, please ensure that this is included in your application form
  • Full course fee due at the point of accepting your offer

The Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) SQE Discount:

If you are a GDL student with The College of Legal Practice, you are eligible to receive a 10% discount on the Course Fees for all courses within the Developing Legal Professionals Programme. This includes Solicitors Legal Knowledge that prepares you for SQE1 and Solicitors Legal Skills that prepares you for SQE2 and the LLM in Legal Practice.

You can apply for this discount once you have accepted a place on the Graduate Diploma in Law. To continue to be eligible for this discount you must meet the following criteria:

  • Complete the Graduate Diploma in Law (you can apply for your next course in advance of completing the GDL, but your discount will only be upheld if you do complete the GDL)
  • Pay the Course Fees for the Graduate Diploma in Law in line with the fee schedule
  • Adhere to the College’s Student Terms and Conditions

Please note this discount does not entitle you to a place on subsequent courses. You will need to apply separately for additional courses and meet the admissions criteria applicable to those courses. If you are unsure if you meet the criteria, or have any questions please speak to the Student Services team.

General notes:

  • Course fees are reviewed every year
  • Course fees are the same for UK and international students. However, please note that if you are based outside of the UK and wish to receive a hard copy of the SLK, SLS or GDL manual, you will be asked to contribute towards the postage fees
  • Course fees include the tuition fee and any other costs associated with the course
  • Course fees do not include the cost of the SQE assessments which will need to be booked through the SRA
  • Hard copy course manuals will only be sent once the deposit and first instalment have been paid

Course fee liability:

  • The student is liable for fee payments in line with the instalment schedule outlined above
    • All instalments are non-refundable after the instalment due date has passed
      • If a student pays an instalment prior to its due date, they can claim a refund of this fee up until the instalment due date
      • If a student pays for their course in full and later decides to cancel, they can receive a refund for any payments not yet due as per the instalment schedule
  • For more details, please see the College’s Refund and Compensation Policy and Student Terms and Conditions.
