Demystifying the SQE: What you really need to know

Date: 25 November, 1pm

Thinking about taking the SQE but not sure what to expect? With plenty of statistics, stories and differing opinions about the experience, knowing where to start can feel daunting.

This practical virtual panel session is jointly hosted by Bristol Junior Lawyers Division, Bristol Law Society and The College of Legal Practice. It is designed for final year law/GDL students, recent graduates and junior lawyers who haven’t yet embarked on their SQE journey, helping you understand the route and feel better prepared for what lies ahead.

Our panel will bring together different perspectives on the SQE and share practical advice on preparing for the journey, what to consider before you start and how to approach some of the choices and challenges along the way. It’s also your opportunity to ask the questions that matter to you, hear honest perspectives and get advice from people with experience of the SQE and the legal profession.

Hosted by: Alice Payne, Head of Business Development & Marketing, The College of Legal Practice

Speakers include:

  • Daniel Onafuwa, Solicitor Apprentice & Bristol Junior Lawyer Division Committee Member
  • Roisin Millard, SQE student, Legal Officer, Bristol City Council
  • third speak to be confirmed
