The College of Legal Practice held its second graduation ceremony in December 2025, recognising over 60 graduates across the LLM in Legal Practice and the Graduate Diploma in Law programmes. The ceremony, held at Regent’s University, offered a wonderful opportunity to bring together graduates from across the UK and internationally to formally recognise their legal qualifications. Staff, families and friends all came together in person to celebrate the graduates’ achievements that had been years in the making.
The ceremony was opened by the Chair of the College, Richard Clark, former Managing Partner of Slaughter & May, who reflected on the significance of the day.
Richard shared: “It symbolises the great achievement of our graduates, and it is the day when everything comes together and all their hard work is rewarded. It was a wonderful celebration of everything our students have achieved, and a testament to the work of our staff, our faculty, and to those who have supported the graduates throughout their studies.”
Chief Executive, Dr Giles Proctor, reinforced the importance of the occasion: “The graduation ceremony was fantastic. It is always great to see graduates receiving their awards and celebrating with their family, friends and supporters - all those who have helped them make the journey to what is a real achievement on their behalf.”
We spoke to several graduates who shared their reflections on the day and offered insight into their experiences of studying with the College.

Lisa Evans
“I came from St Lucia in the West Indies to be here today... I feel fantastic, relieved! It’s a full circle moment for me and I've worked so hard to get to this point and I'm just really happy. I'm taking it all in because it took a long, long journey to get here and thank you College of Legal Practice.” - Lisa Evans, Graduate Diploma in Law graduate
An LLM graduate and SQE scholarship recipient highlighted how the College’s commitment to widening access enabled them to pursue legal training despite barriers to traditional study routes:
“I reviewed many providers, but the College stood out as the right option for someone unable to pursue traditional university study. The programme was well structured and well run. With the support of a scholarship, I was able to progress when this would not otherwise have been possible. The qualification has prepared me to move into the legal profession, and I now feel ready for the next stage in my career.”

Terence Enriquez
“I’ve come from the Philippines and today, is my graduation under the Master’s of Law. I feel blessed and excited now that I'm going to get my degree. I've taken SQE1 and passed in 2024 and now I want to get some QWE and then after, I'll take the SQE2.” Terence Enriquez, LLM in Legal Practice graduate

Dr Nina Lewis
GDL graduate Dr Nina Lewis, who combined study with a fulltime medical role, the College’s flexible and accessible learning model was essential:
“It was an obvious choice to study with the College. The structure allowed me to study in my own time alongside clinical work. There were no penalties for studying at my own pace, and the degree offered excellent value without compromising quality. The materials were reliable, clearly organised and well supported by consistent deadlines.”
