What time is the graduation ceremony?
What time shall I aim to arrive?
If you are purchasing academic dress, we recommend arrival around 12:30pm. If you are not purchasing academic dress, we recommend arrival for 13:00pm.
Herringham Hall will be open for refreshments for graduates and guests from 12:30pm.
How many guests can I bring?
As part of your booking, you may have purchased guest tickets. Graduates are permitted to bring two guests in person.
Please note that if you have not purchased sufficient guest tickets, it is unlikely we will be able to accommodate your guests.
Will additional guest tickets become available?
I need to bring a carer with me. Do I need to pay for a ticket for them?
Can I bring children?
What if I have booked tickets but can no longer attend?
Tickets are refundable until the 30th October. After that, tickets become non-refundable. If you have bought tickets but can no longer attend, you can cancel your booking on the Ede and Ravenscroft ticketing platform.
After 30th October, please notify studentsupport@collegalpractice.com if you can no longer join us.
I have outstanding fees due to the College. Can I attend?
No, as per our Student Terms & Conditions, if you have outstanding fees owed to the College, these must be cleared in full prior to graduation.
If you purchase tickets and we subsequently realise that you have outstanding fees, we will cancel your order prior to the ceremony.
Please reach out to Student Services if you wish to discuss further.
What should I wear?
Someone in my party has specific requirements for accessing venues, what do I do?
You can specify any accessibility requirements within the ticketing process.
We can offer reassurance that all rooms being used for graduation are accessible spaces.
If you would like to discuss this in more detail, please reach out to studentsupport@collegalpractice.com.
What is the order of ceremony?
What if I’m not able or comfortable shaking hands?
It is the custom for graduates to shake hands with the Chair and CEO of the College, as they cross the stage in the Ceremony, but this is not an official requirement of graduation. If for any religious reasons, or for concerns about hygiene, you would prefer not to shake hands, you can specify this within your booking.
You can clasp your hands instead, if you do not wish to shake hands.
If you wish to clarify anything about this with us, please contact us at studentsupport@collegalpractice.com.
Can my guests take photos and videos during the ceremony?
Your guests are very welcome to take photographs/video images during the graduation ceremony, but we ask that they please remain seated with cameras at eye level, to avoid blocking the view of those around them.
Guests should remain seated for the full duration of the ceremony.
Will my family and friends be able to watch the ceremony online?
Is the ceremony being filmed?
Will I receive my degree/Diploma certificate at my ceremony?

Children in attendance at graduation
If your guests are children, you are responsible for their safety and please supervise them throughout the event. If they are disrupting the ceremony, we would be very grateful if you could leave the room temporarily. Please let us know if you need any assistance at any point and we will be happy to help.
If you are attending with a young child and will be bringing a pram, please let us know in the ticketing process so we can plan ahead to seat you comfortably.
